- The attached extension ladder section cannot be separated from the ladder in accordance with EN 131-1 if the ladder is longer than 3.0 m
- Note for aluminium extension ladders over 3.0 m long. The aluminium extension ladder can also be obtained as usual without crossbar, provided the ladder is only used for its intended purpose. Examples: Fixed installation/attachment, ladder with hooks or with lashing strap, belt attachment
