How do earthing systems work?
An earthing system conducts electrical currents into the earth. It provides an electrical connection to the currents and neutralises them so that people as well as technical devices and buildings are protected from the voltage. This can be achieved using various tools such as earthing clamps, cables or magnets.
When does a company need earthing cables?
Earthing cables help users to avoid explosion hazards caused by sparking and electrostatic charging. According to the European standards EN 60079-14 and EN 61241-14, all devices and equipment used in hazardous areas must have ATEX approval, i.e. be suitable for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
For this reason, DENIOS offers a wide range of earthing devices, discharge reels and earthing cables - also with monitoring. Different lengths are available individually, on a reel, as spiral earthing cables and with earthing clamps.
