Quarantine containers for electric vehicles and lithium-ion batteries

Crash tests have shown that the risk of explosion and fire in electric vehicles after an accident is no higher than in combustion vehicles. But e-car fires are more difficult to extinguish. Only intensive cooling with large amounts of water can stop the fire. However, it is not visible to the naked eye whether the fire is completely extinguished. Up to 24 hours after the fire, the battery can (self-)ignite again. The best solution is therefore to park the e-vehicle separately in a quarantine area with flooding facilities. The mobile quarantine container from DENIOS offers space for an e-car and can be flooded in a targeted manner in the event of a fire. Its suitability has been confirmed by the authorities.
