SpillGuard® and SpillGuard® connect – revolutionary hazardous materials leak warning system for greater safety

With SpillGuard®, our engineers have developed the first warning system of its kind: completely self-sufficient, functional at the touch of a button and can be used or retrofitted for any type of spill pallet! Leaked hazardous materials within the spill pallet are reliably detected and reported by the leak sensor. Installation has never been easier: simply place, switch on and be safe!

With the new SpillGuard® connect detector, you can also enjoy the benefits of digitalisation for your leak management: a web application allows you to centrally monitor all SpillGuard® connect detectors and configure individual alarm messages that are digitally transmitted to the contact person of your choice in the event of a leak.

Your advantages

Universal

Detection of leaks of all common hazardous liquids, can be retrofitted to any collection device – regardless of whether it is made of steel, stainless steel or plastic.

Self-sufficient system

No accessories or system requirements are necessary for the leak detector. The integrated long-life battery ensures reliable operation at all times.

24/7 monitoring

Additional safety is guaranteed, even outside the legally prescribed inspection intervals.

Reliable warning signal

The leak sensor detects dangerous leaks before you do. As soon as the sensitive sensor technology comes into contact with liquid, you are warned.

Durable

The integrated long-life battery ensures reliable operation over a long period of time. This means that the system can remain in use for up to 5 years.

Detect leaks more quickly – act in time

The leaking of liquid hazardous substances is not uncommon and can happen at any time. To reliably prevent the hazardous substances from getting into the ground, containers should be stored on spill pallets. However, leaking liquids are often not immediately detected in the sump - for example, if personnel are not constantly present or if a regular visual inspection has been forgotten due to everyday operational stresses. An uncleaned leak however, can quickly become dangerous.

For example, in the case of particularly sensitive substances that emit dangerous vapours, rapid action is required to counteract hazards. In addition, the functionality of the spill pallet - and therefore also the compliant sump volume - must be ensured at all times. If there is already liquid in the tub, this may no longer be guaranteed.

This is where SpillGuard® comes in. The warning system detects the leak as soon as it comes into contact with the liquid and sounds an acoustic and visual alarm. This ensures that you are warned as quickly as possible and that the necessary measures can be taken immediately.

Suitable for ATEX zone 0

SpillGuard® is suitable for ATEX Zone 0 and therefore meets the strictest requirements for explosion protection.

Leak detectors in comparison

SpillGuard®

The system reliably detects dangerous leaks, saving valuable time for rectifying the situation. SpillGuard® has been developed for long-term use and is approved for ATEX Zone 0. Commissioning is particularly easy: position, switch on, and you're safe.

  • An acoustic signal alerts you in good time when the SpillGuard® is reaching the end of its service life (up to 5 years) and needs to be replaced.

  • When liquid hazardous materials come into contact with the sensor, an acoustic and visual alarm is triggered for at least 24 hours.

  • A regular visual signal (red LED) indicates safe operation throughout the entire service life.

  • Intelligent, robust sensor technology in a highly resistant, electrically conductive housing guarantees simple and safe commissioning and use.

SpillGuard® connect

The innovative system has been specially developed for safe and simple remote monitoring via narrowband IoT. SpillGuard® connect sends leakage warning messages via SMS and/or email to your smartphone, tablet and/or desktop PC. It is also possible to send the alarm to several recipients at the same time. SpillGuard® connect replaces the weekly visual inspections of your spill pallets. Gain valuable working time that can now be put to better use thanks to DIBt approval!

  • Easy management via the DENIOS connect web application and central status monitoring of the leak detector: display of ambient temperature and battery charge level.

  • Report in PDF format as support for proof of weekly monitoring, e.g. for an audit (StawaR/TRGS 510).

  • Leak detectors are infinitely scalable and can be used almost anywhere thanks to mobile NB IoT connection in each individual device.

  • Unlimited range thanks to completely decentralised and autonomous end devices.

  • No gateway, local internet or local power supply required.

  • Operating temperature 0 to +40 °C, alarm at temperatures > +70 °C.

SpillGuard® and SpillGuard® connect resistance list

The SpillGuard® and SpillGuard® connect leak detectors are designed for use with all common liquid hazardous materials. The compatibility list shows you for which hazardous materials the functionality of the SpillGuard® or SpillGuard® connect has been proven over the defined period of at least 24 hours. For substances not listed in the compatibility list, a laboratory test can be carried out on request to check the suitability of the SpillGuard® or SpillGuard® connect.
