Heating chambers
DENIOS heating chambers are used for temperatures from >35 °C to 150 °C and come standard with 100 mm thick EI 120 insulation and a spill pallet. Various heating types are available: electric power, hot water steam, hot water or customised heat exchangers. Application-specific solutions are available for special requirements such as explosion protection, fire protection, high hygiene requirements or individual dimensions.

Heating chambers from DENIOS
DENIOS heating chambers are available in various versions that can be adapted to individual and application-specific requirements. This makes them ideal for withstanding a wide range of demands.
Fast and efficient heating
When the heating chamber is in heating mode, it forms an airtight space. In the upper section, air is drawn in by a radial fan and heated by a downstream heat exchanger. The heated air is fed back into the product area below the tray section via air ducts. The turbulent air flow ensures that the boundary layer is quickly broken during heat exchange and the heat reaches the containers more quickly.
High energy levels always seek to find a way to lower levels, so energy losses are unavoidable. To reduce heat loss to a minimum, the insulation of the heating chamber is 100 mm thick. The support frame is also completely insulated, which prevents thermal bridges. The heating coils and air ducts are located inside the chamber, which keeps the heat in the system. This is how DENIOS heating chambers achieve high energy efficiency.
Control technology and programmability
What requirements does the desired heating process place on the control system for the heating chamber?
Depending on what the heating process requires, whether
a consistently constant temperature,
different temperatures for different materials,
a temperature curve or
time-controlled switching on/off,
this results in different specifications for controlling the heating chamber.
From mechanical controllers to flexible PLCs, a wide variety of control concepts can be implemented.
Wie kann die Prozesssicherheit gewährleistet werden?
The standard control system for the heating chamber provides reliable temperature control in the heating chamber. In the event of overheating, the control system shuts off the energy supply. If the temperature sensor is defective, a safety temperature limiter (STL) takes over the shutdown. This ensures a high level of process reliability at all times.
The following control mechanisms can be added to detect and correct manual operating errors, for example:
Premium control with error history and temperature curves
In the event of faulty margins, the logs can be used to check whether there were errors in the process
Connection of selected sensors to the customer's system
for seamless (remote) monitoring
For high control requirements, the core temperature can also be measured directly in the individual container. (See case study www.denios.ie/bp).
