What are PyroBubbles®?

PyroBubbles® is a granulate with a grain size of 0.5 - 5 mm, which mainly consists of Sicilium dioxide. They are not flammable, electrically insulating and have only a low thermal conductivity. This makes PyroBubbles® the ideal filling material for transport and storage boxes for lithium-ion batteries.

As a tested extinguishing agent, they can be used particularly well to combat liquid fires. The melting point is 900 ° C, then they form a closed layer around the source of the fire.

What regulations should I observe when transporting lithium-ion batteries?

Due to the high risk of fire and explosion, lithium-ion batteries are considered dangerous goods under international transport law and are subject to the regulations for transporting dangerous goods. Yes, after the transport route, the rules apply to air freight, sea freight or road transport.

What regulations must I observe when disposing of lithium-ion batteries?
