Chemical and plastic tanks from DENIOS Ireland

Plastic tanks: Durable and safe

Plastic tanks are safe to use, have a high utility value and are also well suited for the storage of chemicals and food. Thanks to their high-density polyethylene (HDPE) construction with galvanised steel strapping, they are long-lasting and sustainable. They are resistant to many different chemicals, such as:

  • Oils
  • Lyes
  • Alcohols
  • Acids
  • Saline solutions

This makes them a reliable storage container in which you can keep the liquids you need - whether you work in industry, agriculture or a chemical company.

For which liquids are plastic tanks suitable?

Plastic tanks are well proven as stable and liquid-tight chemical tanks and industrial containers in the chemical industry, environmental technology and in water treatment plants, waste water purification plants and refrigeration plant construction. They can be used for

  • pasty raw materials,
  • and agrgesive acids.
  • varnishes,
  • lyes,
  • liquid raw materials,

Tanks made of polyethylene are also very popular in the food industry and for cosmetics. Plastic tanks can be supplied in natural transparent with optical fill level control or light-protected in black to prevent algae growth, and in various sizes. You decide which volume fits your needs: At DENIOS Ireland you will find plastic tank containers with a capacity of 1,100 to 5,000 litres.

Attention: Liquids such as chlorinated hydrocarbons and oxidising acids must not be stored in plastic tanks.

What are the benefits of plastic tanks made of high-density polyethylene?

  • High tear resistance
  • Thin design
  • Very stable
  • Physiologically harmless
  • Easy to clean

High-density polyethylene is versatile and therefore one of the most popular and commonly used plastics. It has only a low inherent strength, but is all the more stable for it, even in very thin versions. Thanks to its smooth inner walls, it is very easy for cleaning. It is also naturally corrosion-free. High-density polyethylene is transparent in its natural state, making it easy to estimate the filling quantity in safety and industrial tanks.

Another advantage is the physiological harmlessness. The long-lasting plastic tanks do not release any materials that affect the human body or its metabolism. This property also makes them popular in the cosmetics and food industry.

Although they are very tear-resistant, industrial containers must be stored on spill pallets. This protects the environment and production in the event of a leak.

Plastic tanks should also be protected from UV radiation, as the plastic can become brittle with prolonged exposure to sunlight. Galvanised steel bandages provide additional stability. You will also find the matching spill pallets and accessories such as taps and nozzles in our assortment.

Fire-rated cabinets for ATEX zones - What do I need to know

Within DSEAR, an explosive atmosphere is defined as a mixture of dangerous substances with air, under atmospheric conditions, in the form of gases, vapours, mist or dust in which, after ignition has occurred, combustion spreads to the entire unburned mixture. You need to carry out a risk assessment to determine if your storage cabinet needs to be zoned as a hazardous area. Where there are flammable vapours present any electrical equipment that is installed needs to be ATEX rated.
