Containers for Hazardous Materials

Containers for Dangerous Goods

If your company works with hazardous materials or dangerous substances, it is essential that you promote occupational safety and prioritise environmental protection. Spills, leaks, accidents and other unexpected events pose a huge risk to your employees, visitors, facilities and the environment if proper precautions have not been taken. With the right equipment and correct procedures, you can be sure that your business operates efficiently and profitably, but most importantly, safe.

At DENIOS Ireland we offer a large selection of containers for hazardous materials that are type-tested and approved for the transport of dangerous goods in packing groups I, II and II. Hazardous materials and other dangerous goods are mainly classified into three packing groups (also called UN packing groups), depending on the degree of risk they present:

  • Packing Group I: High danger

  • Packing Group II: Medium danger

  • Packing Group III: Low danger

Our transport container solutions for dangerous goods are UN-approved containers that comply with international requirements and standards. They are designed to be robust and safe so that personnel are protected from the content at all times. DENIOS Ireland´s containers for hazardous materials come in various sizes and with various capacities, ensuring that there is a solution for a wide range of operational requirements.

Our offer

When working with highly corrosive, flammable, toxic or hazardous materials, the buckets available at your local hardware store probably aren't up to the task. Brow through our selection of plastic buckets, which come in a range of sizes and capacities to better suit your business' needs. They feature a carry handle and the flexible lid completely covers the container to ensure a tight seal. We even offer electrically conductive buckets made from durable polypropylene.

If you need to store hazardous materials but the storage unit they are in may need to be relocated, our UN certified shipping container is just what you need. This robust container is hermetically sealed, so no harmful vapours or outgassing pose a risk to your employees. Sturdy clips and safety pins ensure that the polyurethane seal is not compromised. Thanks to the ergonomic handle and sturdy rubber wheels, the container can be moved easily and smoothly. It can also be stacked to save space and optimise your work areas.

In addition, we supply specially designed sealed canning containers called hobbocks. These containers are easy to transport thanks to their ergonomic handles and are ideal for use in the catering or service sector as they comply with food regulations. Hobbocks come in different shapes and sizes and comply with UN approval criteria.

DENIOS Ireland quality assurance

UN numbers or UN IDs are four-digit numbers used to classify hazardous materials, dangerous goods and other harmful articles (such as flammable liquids, explosives and toxic substances) in international transport. They are assigned by the United Nations Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods.

There are nine classes of dangerous goods. Dangerous goods" are defined as materials or articles with hazardous properties that pose a potential risk to health and safety, infrastructure and means of transport if not properly handled or controlled.

At DENIOS Ireland we are aware that the international agreements for the transport of dangerous goods must be adhered to. All our transport containers have been thoroughly tested at various levels and have passed all the required tests. All our transport containers for dangerous goods have a UN approval number. This makes them the ideal choice for transporting hazardous materials depots that correspond to one of the nine different categories of dangerous goods.
